Statement

At a young age I was drawn to the arts and found my way to graphic design. Throughout my early art education I was torn between multiple disciplines. For years I struggled to find my place, switching from writing, to painting, to photography, often destroying most of my work in the process. It was with great satisfaction that I chose to stick to graphic design and vowed to do nothing else.

However, painting always on the back of my mind.

This is the beginning of my new art journey. I am interested in exploring texture, composition and color, and learning how these all relate to subject matter. I'm also learning how to draw from my own experiences and express them, however crudely, onto the art board. My goal is to evolve into an artist who can pierce through the mind's eye of the viewer.

In this series of work I experiment with different materials while maintaining a means of expression. Thumbnail opens new window. Constant updates can be found at my Flickr page.
